2022 - SysOps / DevOps
After a manager role, the career path continues in a more technical direction as a Lead System Engineer,
with a strong focus on cloud technologies and DevOps methodology. During this period, he becomes involved in the pharmaceutical industry and gains valuable experience working within highly regulated business and IT environments.He actively works with Linux-based systems and uses leading DevOps tools daily, including Git, GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible. He takes part in the implementation of a serverless infrastructure within the Microsoft Azure environment across three development stages (Dev, Test, Prod). The project he contributed to later wins an award for best startup. Recognizing the future of IT in cloud computing, he directs all his knowledge and experience toward building modern, scalable cloud infrastructures.2018 - Head of IT
He decided to step away from a dynamic but demanding international environment and took on a managr role at a local software company. As Head of the IT Department, he was actively involved in every aspect of the business—from human resource management, budget planning, and IT strategy development, to operational optimization. He developed a strong interest in software development, as well as the digitalization of other business processes. In this role, he was also responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the ISO 27001 standards system, which gave him a new perspective on the structure of IT processes.
2014 - Gorup IT Administrator
He transitions into a new role as an IT Administrator at the group level, where he is responsible for the IT integration of newly acquired companies from various countries. This includes migrating IT equipment, reconfiguring networks, user accounts, email systems, printers, and business applications. One of the key projects during this period was the implementation of Microsoft Office 365 across all companies within the group. His role expands to leading the entire IT migration process across countries, which involves planning, budgeting, equipment procurement, and user training. He delivers training sessions in English across different countries, gaining invaluable experience in managing global IT projects and working with diverse business cultures.
2010 - IT Administrator
As his ambitions grew, so did his role. In 2010, he took on the position of IT Administrator, where he was responsible for structured cabling across various facilities, setting up local networks, configuring VPN tunnels, and managing server configurations. During this time, he also participated in the implementation of an advanced Warehouse Management System (WMS), where he contributed to training warehouse staff and optimizing warehouse processes. This experience gave him a deep understanding of logistics and business operations, such as warehouse layout planning, route optimization, goods tracking, and performance monitoring.
2008 - IT support
His proffesional career began with a student job in IT. He was employed at a logistics company as an IT support. His first tasks included providing daily IT support to users, as well as implementing simpe technological solutions and supporting mobile sales teams across multiple locations throughout Croatia. During this time, he gained extensive experience working with fiscal systems, cash registers, POS devices, and printers, which was a key part of the business transformation at that time. He learned a lot about business IT, managing user accounts, email systems, backup solutions, certificates, and various methods of remote device management.
